Introduction

What we care about, and what our ambitions are

During DeFi summer, several Layer 1 and Layer 2 chains emerged as a solution to Ethereum's scalability problem, which had high gas fees and network congestion. These alternative chains offered faster and cheaper solutions, but often sacrificed decentralisation and security with low node volume, validator requirements, and downtimes. As DeFi users ourselves, we acknowledge the economic freedom and innovation that DeFi offers, but we also recognise the limitations and underwhelming user experience in these circumstances.

We believe that decentralised finance must be built on chains or L2s that are fast, cheap, secure, and decentralised to attract more users, innovations, and bring additional value to the space.
